Curriculum

At Langford Primary School, we aim to help pupils make meaningful connections in their learning. To that end, we have devised a themed curriculum, in which the different National Curriculum subjects are taught through a particular theme. Of course, we are aware of the danger of 'tenuous' links and we ensure that Maths and English - whilst sometimes present in themed work - are also taught daily as separate subjects. Similarly, Science, P.E. and Music are taught separately as well as within themes.

Langford Primary School follows Ruth Miskin’s phonics program which is known as Read, Write, Inc.
